How it works

1. Activate Yahenni by sacrificing Rendclaw Trow
2. When Rendclaw Trow dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. When Rendclaw Trow enters, Stalwart Successor triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Rendclaw Trow
4. Resolve the Yahenni ability.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop relies on the brilliant counter-balancing act between Rendclaw Trow and Stalwart Successor: whenever the Trow returns via its persist ability carrying a -1/-1 counter, the Successor steps in to place a +1/+1 counter on it, effectively neutralizing the counter type and resetting the creature so persist can trigger all over again. By feeding Rendclaw Trow to Yahenni, Undying Partisan's sacrifice ability, you trigger the entire cycle while simultaneously fueling Yahenni with a steady stream of death triggers and a growing stack of +1/+1 counters.
