How it works

1. Activate Phantom Train by sacrificing Crookshank Kobolds
2. When Crookshank Kobolds dies, Mortuary triggers, putting Crookshank Kobolds from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
3. Resolve the Phantom Train ability.
4. Cast Crookshank Kobolds from the top of your library by paying 0 life.
5. Repeat.

This ingenious loop relies on Phantom Train to constantly consume material, using its ability to turn itself into an artifact creature while growing with a +1/+1 counter by sacrificing Crookshank Kobolds. Whenever those little Kobolds meet their end, Mortuary steps in to ensure they never truly rest, automatically recycling them right back to the top of your library. That is where Gwenom, Remorseless works its dark magic; its attacking ability lets you look at and cast cards from the top of your library, trading mana for life. Since the Kobolds cost zero, Gwenom lets you replay them for free at the cost of zero life, fueling an endless cycle of sacrifices, death triggers, and storm count.
