How it works

1. At the beginning of your upkeep, Oloro's first ability triggers, causing you to gain 2 life.
2. Oloro's second ability triggers, holding priority, activate a permanent you control by tapping it, adding at least 1.
3. Resolve the Oloro trigger, causing you to pay 1 to draw a card and cause each opponent to lose 1 life.
4. Starving Revenant triggers. Holding priority, activate Mind Over Matter by discarding a card, untapping a mana-producing permanent.
5. Resolve the Starving Revenant trigger, causing target opponent to lose 1 life and you to gain 1 life.
6. Repeat from step 2.

This clever loop relies on Oloro, Ageless Ascetic to provide a passive, reliable stream of life gain right from your upkeep, which in turn triggers its own ability to draw cards and drain opponents for a small mana fee. To sustain this engine, Starving Revenant feeds your hand while constantly triggering its own lifegain whenever you draw with eight or more permanent cards in your graveyard, offsetting the life costs. Meanwhile, Mind Over Matter acts as the ultimate engine room, allowing you to discard cards to continually untap your mana sources so you can infinitely pay for Oloro's trigger and keep the loop spinning.
