How it works

  1. Cast Acrobatic Maneuver by paying its mana cost, blinking Abdel Adrian.
  2. Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, returning Returned Pastcaller and all other cards that were exiled with it to the battlefield.
  3. Abdel Adrian and Returned Pastcaller trigger.
  4. Resolve the Returned Pastcaller trigger, returning Acrobatic Maneuver from your graveyard to your hand.
  5. Holding priority, activate any number of nonland permanents you control by tapping them, adding at least enough mana to cast Acrobatic Maneuver.
  6. Resolve the Abdel Adrian trigger, exiling Returned Pastcaller and the mana-producing permanents until Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, and creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token for each permanent exiled this way.
  7. Repeat.

This clever loop turns Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward into an infinite army while cycling your spells effortlessly. Every time Acrobatic Maneuver blinks Abdel Adrian, his entry trigger swallows up your mana sources alongside Returned Pastcaller, which immediately uses its own entry trigger to retrieve Acrobatic Maneuver from your graveyard. Because Acrobatic Maneuver also replaces itself by drawing a card as it resolves, you continuously dig through your entire deck while generating an endless horde of Soldier tokens and tapping your recycable permanents for infinite mana.
