How it works
- Activate Lurking Roper using Kiki-Jiki's ability by tapping it, creating a token copy of itself with haste.
- When the Lurking Roper token enters the battlefield, Soul Warden triggers, causing you to gain 1 life.
- Each Lurking Roper you control triggers, untapping themselves.
- Repeat.
- You may also target any nonlegendary creature you control.
Agatha's Soul Cauldron serves as the engine's true enabler, exiling Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker so its activated ability can be granted to creatures you control that bear a +1/+1 counter. Lurking Roper provides the ideal body to hold that counter and leverage its own unique static trait—failing to untap normally—by instead untapping whenever you gain life. Soul Warden bridges the gap by turning the entry of each new token generated by the copied Kiki-Jiki ability into instant lifegain, which in turn untaps your Lurking Roper so you can tap it over and over again to flood the board with haste-granting copies.
