How it works

1. Cast Cloudshift by paying , blinking Karmic Guide.
2. Karmic Guide enters the battlefield, triggering itself and Preston.
3. Resolve the Karmic Guide trigger, returning any creature card from your graveyard to the battlefield.
4. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Karmic Guide, adding one mana of any color.
5. Resolve the Preston trigger from step 2, creating a token copy of Karmic Guide that is a 0/1 white Illusion.
6. The Karmic Guide token enters the battlefield, returning the nontoken Karmic Guide from your graveyard to the battlefield.
7. Repeat from step 2.

This engine spins up endlessly by cycling Karmic Guide through the graveyard, where its enters-the-battlefield ability brings back another creature while your sacrifice outlet handles the recycling.
