How it works

1. Activate Shilgengar by sacrificing Archon of Falling Stars.
2. When Archon of Falling Stars dies, it triggers, returning Dance of the Dead from your graveyard to the battlefield.
3. When Dance of the Dead enters the battlefield, it triggers, returning Archon of Falling Stars from your graveyard to the battlefield, and attaching Dance of the Dead to it.
4. Resolve the Shilgengar ability.
5. Repeat.

This ingenious loop starts by feeding Archon of Falling Stars to Shilgengar, Sire of Famine, which triggers the Archon's death ability to pull Dance of the Dead out of your graveyard. As Dance of the Dead enters the battlefield, its own trigger brings the Archon right back while attaching itself to it, setting up a seamless cycle. Shilgengar happily converts the sacrificed Archon into Blood tokens—and thanks to the Archon's typing, you even generate extra tokens to help fuel Shilgengar's massive graveyard-recursion ability if you ever need to pivot. By continuously looping these triggers, you flood the board with an endless stream of artifact tokens, sacrifice triggers, and creature entries.
