How it works

1. Cast Heroic Intervention by paying 1, giving permanents you control hexproof and indestructible until end of turn.
2. Activate Krark-Clan Shaman by sacrificing an artifact, dealing 1 damage to each creature without flying.
3. Sonic's second ability triggers for each creature you control with haste or flash that was dealt damage, creating that many tapped Treasure tokens.
4. Repeat from step 2.

This clever loop turns damage into an engine by letting Sonic the Hedgehog profit whenever your creatures take a hit, thanks to the haste granted by Sonic the Hedgehog's own static ability. By casting Heroic Intervention first, you make your entire board completely indestructible, meaning Krark-Clan Shaman can repeatedly blast your creatures with damage without killing them. Each instance of damage triggers Sonic the Hedgehog to churn out a fresh batch of tapped Treasure tokens, which you can immediately feed right back into Krark-Clan Shaman as the sacrifice fodder to keep the whole cycle spinning.
