How it works

  1. Activate Goblin Bombardment by sacrificing Young Wolf
  2. When Young Wolf dies, its undying ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it.
  3. Resolve the Goblin Bombardment ability.
  4. Activate Goblin Bombardment by sacrificing Young Wolf
  5. When Young Wolf dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
  6. Young Wolf enters and dies as a state-based action due to having 0 toughness. Its undying ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it.
  7. Resolve the Goblin Bombardment ability from step 4.
  8. Repeat from step 4.

This clever loop turns the cycle of life and death into a blazing weapon by leveraging the dual-faced nature of Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn // Isilu, Carrier of Twilight; while its Isilu face grants your nontoken creatures persist, Young Wolf naturally brings undying to the table to gracefully counteract those -1/-1 counters. By sacrificing Young Wolf to Goblin Bombardment, you trigger its resurrection mechanics over and over, letting the alternating +1/+1 and -1/+1 counter triggers endlessly reset its state. As Young Wolf repeatedly dies and returns, Goblin Bombardment converts this perpetual motion into infinite damage, sacrifice triggers, and creature entries.
