Emet-Selch, Unsundered // Hades, Sorcerer of Eld + Displace
Emet-Selch, Unsundered // Hades, Sorcerer of Eld
Displace
Infinite turnsLock
How it works
Cast the extra turn spell from your graveyard by paying its mana cost.
Holding priority, cast Displace from your graveyard by paying its mana cost, blinking Hades and causing it to re-enter the battlefield as Emet-Selch.
When Emet-Selch enters the battlefield, it triggers, causing you to loot.
Resolve the extra turn spell, causing you to take an extra turn after this one.
At the beginning of your upkeep during your extra turn, Emet-Selch triggers, transforming itself into Hades.
Repeat.
This ingenious loop relies on Hades, Sorcerer of Eld—the transformed back side of Emet-Selch, Unsundered—to completely rewrite the rules of your graveyard, allowing you to cast an extra turn spell and Displace directly from the graveyard during your turn. By casting Displace to blink Hades, you reset it as Emet-Selch, whose entering-the-battlefield trigger lets you loot to restock your resources while smoothly setting up the next iteration. As you take infinite turns, Hades, Sorcerer of Eld's passive replacement effect permanently exiles your used spells and tokens as they leave any zone, perfectly recycling your key pieces through the stack.
