How it works

1. Activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing Ornithopter.
2. When Ornithopter dies, Mortuary and Remembrance trigger.
3. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting Ornithopter from your graveyard on top of your library.
4. Resolve the Remembrance trigger, searching your library for Ornithopter and putting it into your hand.
5. Resolve the Altar of Dementia ability.
6. Cast Ornithopter by paying 0.
7. Repeat.

This clever loop turns the zero-cost metal of an Ornithopter into an engine of endless attrition, fueled entirely by the free sacrifice outlet of Altar of Dementia. Whenever you send the flyer to the yard, Mortuary instantly intercepts it to place it back on top of your library, while Remembrance exploits that exact death to tutor a fresh copy straight to your hand—or, combined with the top-deck placement, lets you cleanly set up your next draw. Because casting the artifact costs a mere zero mana, you can infinitely repeat the cycle to grind through opposing libraries, build an astronomical storm count, or trigger endless enters-the-battlefield and leaves-the-battlefield effects.
