How it works

1. At the beginning of your combat phase, Offspring's Revenge triggers, exiling Tree of Perdition from your graveyard and creating a 1/1 copy of it with haste.
2. When the Tree of Perdition token enters the battlefield, Purphoros triggers.
3. Holding priority, activate the Tree of Perdition token by tapping it, swapping an opponent's life total with Tree of Perdition's toughness.
4. Resolve the Purphoros trigger, dealing 2 damage to each opponent.
5. The opponent whose life total was swapped loses the game due to having zero or les life.

This clever loop begins in the graveyard, where Offspring's Revenge plucks Tree of Perdition out to forge a swift, albeit fragile, 1/1 copy at the dawn of combat. As that copy enters the battlefield, Purphoros, God of the Forge stands ready to amplify the moment, turning every new arrival into a source of direct damage. Before those explosive triggers can even resolve, you tap the Tree of Perdition token to instantly swap your opponent's life total with its current toughness—dropping them to a perilous 1. The resulting Purphoros, God of the Forge trigger then immediately finishes the job, dealing the final 2 damage to seal their fate.
