How it works

1. Activate the Equipment by paying its equip cost, attaching it to Shield Sphere.
2. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Shield Sphere, adding .
3. When Shield Sphere dies, Koll triggers, returning Shield Sphere from your graveyard to your hand.
4. Cast Shield Sphere by paying its mana cost.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop turns the zero-mana Shield Sphere into a recurring engine of sacrifice by leaning on a clever piece of equipment to bridge the gap. By paying an equip cost to attach anything to the Sphere, you enable Koll, the Forgemaster's triggered ability to return it straight to your hand whenever it hits the graveyard. From there, you simply feed the Sphere to Phyrexian Altar to generate mana and fuel the next iteration, letting you repeat the entire process indefinitely.
