How it works

1. Activate Thermopod by sacrificing another nonland creature you control.
2. When the creature dies, Beifong's Bounty Hunters triggers, earthbending a land.
3. Activate Thermopod by sacrificing the land.
4. When the land dies, Beifong's Bounty Hunters triggers, returning the land from your graveyard to the battlefield tapped.
5. When the land enters, Retreat to Emeria triggers, creating a creature token.
6. Repeat.

This clever loop lets you turn creatures into an endless stream of mana and triggers by exploiting the unique wording of Beifong's Bounty Hunters, which ensures your animated lands return to the battlefield whenever they perish. By feeding your disposable creatures into Thermopod, you generate red mana while triggering the Bounty Hunters to earthbend a land into a temporary creature. You then sacrifice that same land-creature back to Thermopod, and the Bounty Hunters' recursion brings it straight back to the battlefield. This constant cycling satisfies Retreat to Emeria's landfall ability over and over, flooding your board with 1/1 white Kor Ally creature tokens to fuel the engine indefinitely.
