How it works
- Play Brokers Hideout.
- When Brokers Hideout enters, it and Retreat to Emeria trigger.
- Resolve the Retreat to Emeria trigger, creating a 1/1 Kor Ally creature token.
- When the Kor Ally enters, Haru triggers, earthbending Brokers Hideout.
- Resolve the Brokers Hideout trigger from step 2, causing you to sacrifice it, search your library for an applicable land and put it onto the battlefield tapped, and gain 1 life.
- Haru triggers, returning Brokers Hideout from your graveyard to the battlefield.
- Repeat from step 2.
This clever loop transforms a simple fetchland into a self-sustaining engine by exploiting the interaction between triggered abilities and temporary land animation. When you play Brokers Hideout, it triggers Retreat to Emeria to make a Kor Ally token, which in turn causes Haru, Hidden Talent to earthbend the fetching land into a creature. Because Brokers Hideout is forced to sacrifice itself to its own entry ability, Haru's delayed trigger immediately returns it to the battlefield, restarting the entire sequence and allowing you to rapidly deploy every basic Forest, Plains, and Island from your deck while generating an endless supply of tokens and life.
