How it works

1. Play a land.
2. When the land enters, Retreat to Emeria triggers, creating a 1/1 Kor Ally creature token.
3. When the Kor Ally enters, Haru triggers, earthbending the land that entered.
4. Activate Need for Speed by sacrificing the earthbended land.
5. Haru triggers, returning the land from your graveyard to the battlefield tapped.
6. When the land enters, Retreat to Emeria triggers, creating a 1/1 Kor Ally creature token.
7. When the Kor Ally enters, Haru triggers, earthbending the land that entered.
8. Resolve the Need for Speed ability from step 4.
9. Repeat from step 4.

This clever engine turns a humble land drop into a self-sustaining loop by weaving together landfall, temporary animation, and sacrifice. Whenever you play a land, Retreat to Emeria triggers to spawn a 1/1 Kor Ally token, which in turn causes Haru, Hidden Talent to earthbend that very same land into a 0/0 creature. You can then feed that animated land to Need for Speed's activation cost; Haru's delayed trigger immediately catches the land when it dies and returns it to the battlefield tapped, ready to trigger Retreat to Emeria all over again. By looping this sacrifice and return, you generate an endless storm of creature tokens, entering-the-battlefield triggers, and landfall effects.
