How it works

1. Deal combat damage to an opponent using Withengar Unbound, causing them to get at least ten poison counters.
2. The opponent loses the game as a state-based action due to having ten or more poison counters.
3. Withengar Unbound triggers, putting thirteen +1/+1 counters on it.
4. Activate Withengar Unbound using Walking Ballista's second ability by removing a +1/+1 counter from it, giving an opponent a poison counter.
5. Repeat step 4 until the opponent loses the game as a state-based action due to having ten or more poison counters.
6. Repeat from step 3.

By outfitting Elbrus, the Binding Blade with Grafted Exoskeleton, you grant the transformed demon Withengar Unbound the deadly power of infect, ensuring that any successful combat strike immediately dispatches an opponent via poison counters. Once that player falls, Withengar Unbound's trigger rewards the defeat by piling on thirteen +1/+1 counters. With Agatha's Soul Cauldron having previously exiled Walking Ballista, those new counters unlock the ballista's activated ability directly on your demon—allowing you to remove a counter to ping an opponent, loop the thirteen-counter influx whenever state-based actions register a player's loss, and machine-gun down the entire table.
