How it works

1. Cast Walking Ballista from the top of your library by paying 0.
2. Walking Ballista enters the battlefield and dies as a state-based action due to having zero toughness.
3. Mortuary triggers, putting Walking Ballista on top of your library from your graveyard.
4. Repeat.

This clever loop turns the top of your library into an engine for endless recursion, powered entirely by a zero-mana creature. With Experimental Frenzy granting you the ability to cast spells right off the top of your library, you can repeatedly deploy Walking Ballista for zero mana, letting state-based actions instantly send it to the graveyard. Each time it hits the graveyard, Mortuary's static triggered ability steps in to rescue the automaton, neatly placing it right back on top of your library to do it all over again.
