How it works

1. Cast Walking Ballista either from your hand or from the top of your library by paying 0.
2. Walking Ballista enters the battlefield and dies as a state-based action due to having zero toughness.
3. Mortuary triggers, putting Walking Ballista on top of your library from your graveyard.
4. Repeat.

This clever loop relies on casting Walking Ballista for zero mana, letting state-based actions send it straight to the graveyard with zero toughness. That trip triggers Mortuary, which immediately recycles Walking Ballista back to the top of your library. Meanwhile, Ranger Class provides the crucial top-deck infrastructure—specifically its Level 3 ability—allowing you to continually recast Walking Ballista from the top of your library to generate an endless cycle of creature entries, leaves, and deaths.
