How it works
- Cast Technomancer by paying 5.
- When Technomancer enters, it and Grinding Station trigger.
- Resolve the Grinding Station trigger, untapping it.
- Resolve the Technomancer trigger, causing you to mill three cards and return Phyrexian Metamorph from your graveyard to the battlefield as a copy of Technomancer.
- When Phyrexian Metamorph enters, it and Grinding Station trigger.
- Resolve the Grinding Station trigger, untapping it.
- Holding priority, activate Grinding Station by tapping it and sacrificing Phyrexian Metamorph.
- Resolve the Phyrexian Metamorph trigger, causing you to mill three cards and return Phyrexian Metamorph from your graveyard to the battlefield as a copy of Technomancer.
- Repeat from step 5.
This loop relies on a clever recursion engine where Technomancer enters the battlefield to pull Phyrexian Metamorph straight back from your graveyard. Because Phyrexian Metamorph enters as a copy of Technomancer, its own ETB trigger fires to continuously repeat the process while fueling your graveyard via Technomancer's initial mill. Meanwhile, Grinding Station acts as the ultimate payoff, taking advantage of all these entering artifacts and sacrifices to untap itself infinitely and mill out your opponents piece by piece.
