How it works

1. Activate Steelfin Whale using the ability granted to it by Heavy Arbalest by tapping it, dealing 2 damage to Smaug.
2. Smaug triggers, creating two Treasure tokens.
3. When the Treasure enters, Steelfin Whale triggers twice.
4. Resolve the first Steelfin Whale trigger, untapping it.
5. Holding priority, activate Steelfin Whale by tapping it, dealing 2 damage to any target.
6. Resolve the second Steelfin Whale trigger, untapping it.
7. Repeat.

This cunning contraption turns a grumpy dragon and a mechanical fish into an infinite loop of destruction and wealth, entirely driven by the synergy of their shared artifacts. You start by outfitting Steelfin Whale with Heavy Arbalest, granting the fish the ability to tap and shoot 2 damage straight at Smaug the Impenetrable. Every time those Treasures enter the battlefield, Steelfin Whale’s passive affinity-and-entry triggers spring into action, untapping the Whale so you can repeat the firing process endlessly.
