How it works

1. Cast Chain of Acid by paying 3, targeting an indestructible noncreature permanent you control.
2. Eager First-Year triggers, giving itself +1/+0 until end of turn.
3. Resolve Chain of Acid, destroying nothing and causing you to copy Chain of Acid, targeting an indestructible noncreature permanent you control.
4. Repeat from step 2.

By targeting an indestructible noncreature permanent you control with Chain of Acid, you can safely trigger its cascading copy ability ad infinitum without destroying your own assets. Each time you copy the spell, Eager First-Year's magecraft ability triggers from the copy being created, allowing you to pump the creature's power to staggering heights as the loop feeds into itself.
