How it works

1. Cast Essence Flux by paying its mana cost, blinking Abdel Adrian.
2. Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, returning Skullwinder and all other cards that were exiled with it to the battlefield.
3. Abdel Adrian and Skullwinder trigger.
4. Resolve the Skullwinder trigger, returning Essence Flux from your graveyard to your hand.
5. Holding priority, activate any number of nonland permanents you control by tapping them, adding at least enough mana to cast Essence Flux.
6. Resolve the Abdel Adrian trigger, exiling Skullwinder and the mana-producing permanents until Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, and creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token for each permanent exiled this way.
7. Repeat.

This clever loop centers around Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward, who acts as the engine by hoarding your own permanents in exile and flooding the board with Soldier tokens every time he returns. To keep the cycle going, Essence Flux acts as the initial spark, blinking Abdel Adrian to reset the trigger and continuously refreshing your battlefield. Meanwhile, Skullwinder quietly does the heavy lifting from the graveyard, utilizing its enter-the-battlefield ability to pluck Essence Flux right back into your hand so you can cast it over and over again.
