How it works

1. Cast Momentary Blink by paying its mana cost, blinking Abdel Adrian.
2. Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, returning Returned Pastcaller and all other cards that were exiled with it to the battlefield.
3. Abdel Adrian and Returned Pastcaller trigger.
4. Resolve the Returned Pastcaller trigger, returning Momentary Blink from your graveyard to your hand.
5. Holding priority, activate any number of nonland permanents you control by tapping them, adding at least enough mana to cast Momentary Blink.
6. Resolve the Abdel Adrian trigger, exiling Returned Pastcaller and the mana-producing permanents until Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, and creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token for each permanent exiled this way.
7. Repeat.

This elegant loop relies on Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward to continuously swallow and re-release your other permanents whenever it enters the battlefield. By targeting Abdel Adrian with Momentary Blink, you trigger a cascade where Returned Pastcaller returns the very same Momentary Blink from your graveyard right back to your hand. Meanwhile, Abdel Adrian’s exile ability sweeps up Returned Pastcaller alongside your mana-producing permanents, ensuring everything resets fresh with a brand new army of Soldier tokens every single iteration.
