How it works

1. Cast Momentary Blink by paying its mana cost, blinking Abdel Adrian.
2. Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, returning Scrivener and all other cards that were exiled with it to the battlefield.
3. Abdel Adrian and Scrivener trigger.
4. Resolve the Scrivener trigger, returning Momentary Blink from your graveyard to your hand.
5. Holding priority, activate any number of nonland permanents you control by tapping them, adding at least enough mana to cast Momentary Blink.
6. Resolve the Abdel Adrian trigger, exiling Scrivener and the mana-producing permanents until Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, and creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token for each permanent exiled this way.
7. Repeat.

This clever loop turns Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward into a relentless engine by utilizing his own exile-and-return trigger to continuously reset the board. Each cycle is jump-started by casting Momentary Blink from your hand to blink Abdel Adrian, which in turn triggers Scrivener to immediately dive into your graveyard and retrieve that very same spell. Meanwhile, Abdel Adrian's entry trigger conveniently tucks away your mana-producing permanents and Scrivener itself, allowing you to tap those permanents for mana before they vanish and flooding the board with an endless army of 1/1 Soldier creature tokens.
