How it works

1. Cast Cloudshift by paying its mana cost, blinking Abdel Adrian.
2. Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, returning Returned Pastcaller and all other cards that were exiled with it to the battlefield.
3. Abdel Adrian and Returned Pastcaller trigger.
4. Resolve the Returned Pastcaller trigger, returning Cloudshift from your graveyard to your hand.
5. Holding priority, activate any number of nonland permanents you control by tapping them, adding at least enough mana to cast Cloudshift.
6. Resolve the Abdel Adrian trigger, exiling Returned Pastcaller and the mana-producing permanents until Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, and creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token for each permanent exiled this way.
7. Repeat.

This loop relies on Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward continually cycling in and out of exile to repeatedly trigger its own enter-the-battlefield ability. By casting Cloudshift, you blink Abdel Adrian, which forces your mana-producing permanents and Returned Pastcaller back onto the board. Returned Pastcaller is the crucial recursion piece that lets you fish Cloudshift right back out of your graveyard, ready to be recast using the mana generated by the newly reset permanents. Every iteration grows your army with endless 1/1 Soldier creature tokens while leaving you with infinite etb, ltb, and magecraft triggers.
