How it works

1. Cast Displace by paying its mana cost, blinking Abdel Adrian.
2. Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, returning Returned Pastcaller and all other cards that were exiled with it to the battlefield.
3. Abdel Adrian and Returned Pastcaller trigger.
4. Resolve the Returned Pastcaller trigger, returning Displace from your graveyard to your hand.
5. Holding priority, activate any number of nonland permanents you control by tapping them, adding at least enough mana to cast Displace.
6. Resolve the Abdel Adrian trigger, exiling Returned Pastcaller and the mana-producing permanents until Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, and creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token for each permanent exiled this way.
7. Repeat.

This ingenious engine gets its momentum by leveraging Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward to continuously sweep your own board and generate a growing army of Soldier tokens. By casting Displace, you repeatedly blink Abdel Adrian along with Returned Pastcaller, whose entry trigger fishes Displace right back out of your graveyard to hand. Because Abdel Adrian's exile effect also scoops up your mana-producing permanents, you can tap them for resources mid-loop before swallowing them up again, fueling the entire infinite sequence while swarming the battlefield.
