How it works

1. Cast Ghostly Flicker by paying its mana cost, blinking Abdel Adrian.
2. Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, returning Ardent Elementalist and all other cards that were exiled with it to the battlefield.
3. Abdel Adrian and Ardent Elementalist trigger.
4. Resolve the Ardent Elementalist trigger, returning Ghostly Flicker from your graveyard to your hand.
5. Holding priority, activate any number of nonland permanents you control by tapping them, adding at least enough mana to cast Ghostly Flicker.
6. Resolve the Abdel Adrian trigger, exiling Ardent Elementalist and the mana-producing permanents until Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, and creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token for each permanent exiled this way.
7. Repeat.

This brilliant looping engine relies on Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward to continuously consume and regurgitate your own permanents, using Ghostly Flicker as the magical glue that resets the entire sequence. Each time Ghostly Flicker targets Abdel Adrian and Ardent Elementalist, their combined re-entry allows Abdel Adrian to swallow up your board while Ardent Elementalist immediately fishes Ghostly Flicker right back out of your graveyard. This endless cycle not only generates an infinite army of Soldier tokens, but also gives you a continuous window to tap any mana-producing permanents held in Abdel Adrian's temporary exile before they get blinked again.
