How it works

1. Cast Ghostly Flicker by paying its mana cost, blinking Abdel Adrian.
2. Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, returning Scrivener and all other cards that were exiled with it to the battlefield.
3. Abdel Adrian and Scrivener trigger.
4. Resolve the Scrivener trigger, returning Ghostly Flicker from your graveyard to your hand.
5. Holding priority, activate any number of nonland permanents you control by tapping them, adding at least enough mana to cast Ghostly Flicker.
6. Resolve the Abdel Adrian trigger, exiling Scrivener and the mana-producing permanents until Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, and creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token for each permanent exiled this way.
7. Repeat.

This clever loop relies on Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward to continuously swallow and regurgitate your own permanents, fueled by the recursive magic of Ghostly Flicker. Each time Abdel Adrian is blinked back to the battlefield, its entry trigger sweeps up Scrivener alongside your mana-producing permanents, which instantly triggers Scrivener to pull Ghostly Flicker right back out of your graveyard. As Scrivener and your lands or artifacts cycle in and out of exile, you accumulate an unstoppable horde of 1/1 Soldier creature tokens while effortlessly sustaining the mana required to keep the flicker chain alive.
