How it works

1. Cast Ghostly Flicker by paying its mana cost, blinking Abdel Adrian.
2. Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, returning Izzet Chronarch and all other cards that were exiled with it to the battlefield.
3. Abdel Adrian and Izzet Chronarch trigger.
4. Resolve the Izzet Chronarch trigger, returning Ghostly Flicker from your graveyard to your hand.
5. Holding priority, activate any number of nonland permanents you control by tapping them, adding at least enough mana to cast Ghostly Flicker.
6. Resolve the Abdel Adrian trigger, exiling Izzet Chronarch and the mana-producing permanents until Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, and creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token for each permanent exiled this way.
7. Repeat.

This clever loop uses Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward as a versatile exile engine that conveniently generates an army of 1/1 Soldier creature tokens along the way. By casting Ghostly Flicker to blink Abdel Adrian alongside Izzet Chronarch, you trigger the Chronarch to immediately pull the Flicker right back out of your graveyard and into your hand. Meanwhile, Abdel's enter-the-battlefield ability safely tucks away other nonland permanents—including any mana producers you need to continuously recast the Flicker—allowing you to repeat the cycle indefinitely for boundless entry and exit triggers.
