How it works
Cast Scrollshift by paying its mana cost, blinking Abdel Adrian.
Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, returning Possessed Skaab and all other cards that were exiled with it to the battlefield.
Abdel Adrian and Possessed Skaab trigger.
Resolve the Possessed Skaab trigger, returning Scrollshift from your graveyard to your hand.
Holding priority, activate any number of nonland permanents you control by tapping them, adding at least enough mana to cast Scrollshift.
Resolve the Abdel Adrian trigger, exiling Possessed Skaab and the mana-producing permanents until Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, and creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token for each permanent exiled this way.
Repeat.
This clever loop relies on Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward to repeatedly cycle your board in and out of exile, fueling a continuous engine of value. Each time Scrollshift blinks Abdel Adrian, the resulting reset triggers Possessed Skaab to fish Scrollshift right back out of your graveyard and into your hand. Meanwhile, Abdel Adrian’s entry triggers create an army of Soldier tokens while safely temporarily exiling your other mana-producing permanents, which can be tapped before they vanish to pay for the next Scrollshift.
