How it works

1. Cast Scrollshift by paying its mana cost, blinking Abdel Adrian.
2. Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, returning Timeless Witness and all other cards that were exiled with it to the battlefield.
3. Abdel Adrian and Timeless Witness trigger.
4. Resolve the Timeless Witness trigger, returning Scrollshift from your graveyard to your hand.
5. Holding priority, activate any number of nonland permanents you control by tapping them, adding at least enough mana to cast Scrollshift.
6. Resolve the Abdel Adrian trigger, exiling Timeless Witness and the mana-producing permanents until Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, and creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token for each permanent exiled this way.
7. Repeat.

This clever loop spins up an endless engine using Scrollshift to repeatedly blink Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward, which in turn continuously exiles and resets your mana-producing permanents and Timeless Witness. Each iteration lets Timeless Witness dive back into your graveyard to pluck Scrollshift right back to your hand while generating an army of 1/1 Soldier tokens from Abdel Adrian's entry trigger. Because Scrollshift conveniently replaces itself by drawing a card every time it resolves, this entire cascading sequence not only floods the board and generates infinite mana, but digs through your entire deck in the process.
