How it works
Cast Scrollshift by paying its mana cost, blinking Abdel Adrian.
Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, returning Revolutionist and all other cards that were exiled with it to the battlefield.
Abdel Adrian and Revolutionist trigger.
Resolve the Revolutionist trigger, returning Scrollshift from your graveyard to your hand.
Holding priority, activate any number of nonland permanents you control by tapping them, adding at least enough mana to cast Scrollshift.
Resolve the Abdel Adrian trigger, exiling Revolutionist and the mana-producing permanents until Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, and creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token for each permanent exiled this way.
Repeat.
This elegant loop turns a simple blink spell into a self-sustaining engine by repeatedly recycling our resources from the graveyard. When you cast Scrollshift to exile and return Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward, his enters-the-battlefield ability sweeps up both our mana sources and Revolutionist, which immediately triggers to fish Scrollshift right back to your hand. As Abdel Adrian re-enters, he floods the board with 1/1 Soldier tokens while fueling future casts with the mana your tapped permanents produce. Every iteration not only builds an overwhelming army and nets you a card from Scrollshift's cantrip, but also seamlessly resets the board state to do it all over again.
