How it works

1. Cast Flicker by paying its mana cost, blinking Abdel Adrian.
2. Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, returning Ardent Elementalist and all other cards that were exiled with it to the battlefield.
3. Abdel Adrian and Ardent Elementalist trigger.
4. Resolve the Ardent Elementalist trigger, returning Flicker from your graveyard to your hand.
5. Holding priority, activate any number of nonland permanents you control by tapping them, adding at least enough mana to cast Flicker.
6. Resolve the Abdel Adrian trigger, exiling Ardent Elementalist and the mana-producing permanents until Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, and creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token for each permanent exiled this way.
7. Repeat.

This clever engine leverages Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward to keep an entire suite of nonland permanents continuously recycling through exile and the battlefield. Each time Abdel Adrian enters the fray, he temporarily swallows up Ardent Elementalist along with any mana-producing permanents you need to fuel the loop. As Ardent Elementalist drops back into play, its entry trigger smoothly reaches into your graveyard to pull Flicker right back to your hand, ready to restart the cycle. By carefully tapping your mana sources before Abdel Adrian's exile trigger resolves, you generate infinite resources while churning out an endless army of Soldier tokens.
