How it works

1. Cast Splash Portal by paying its mana cost, blinking Abdel Adrian.
2. Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, returning Archaeomancer and all other cards that were exiled with it to the battlefield.
3. Abdel Adrian and Archaeomancer trigger.
4. Resolve the Archaeomancer trigger, returning Splash Portal from your graveyard to your hand.
5. Holding priority, activate any number of nonland permanents you control by tapping them, adding at least enough mana to cast Splash Portal.
6. Resolve the Abdel Adrian trigger, exiling Archaeomancer and the mana-producing permanents until Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, and creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token for each permanent exiled this way.
7. Repeat.

This loop transforms a simple blink spell into an infinite engine by leveraging Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward's ability to temporarily consume your own board. When you cast Splash Portal to blink Abdel Adrian, his departure immediately returns Archaeomancer and whatever mana-producing permanents you previously exiled. Archaeomancer's entrance lets you fish Splash Portal right back out of your graveyard, while your mana sources float the resources needed to recast it. Finally, when Abdel Adrian's own entrance trigger resolves, he re-exiles Archaeomancer and those supporting permanents—leaving behind a growing army of Soldier tokens while resetting the board to do it all over again.
