How it works
Cast Illusionist's Stratagem by paying its mana cost, blinking Abdel Adrian.
Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, returning Scrivener and all other cards that were exiled with it to the battlefield.
Abdel Adrian and Scrivener trigger.
Resolve the Scrivener trigger, returning Illusionist's Stratagem from your graveyard to your hand.
Holding priority, activate any number of nonland permanents you control by tapping them, adding at least enough mana to cast Illusionist's Stratagem.
Resolve the Abdel Adrian trigger, exiling Scrivener and the mana-producing permanents until Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, and creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token for each permanent exiled this way.
Repeat.
This clever loop relies on Illusionist's Stratagem to constantly reset Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward, whose entry trigger allows you to squirrel away your other key permanents and flood the board with Soldier tokens. As Abdel Adrian blinks in and out, Scrivener hitches a ride in the exile zone and returns to the battlefield alongside him, using its own entry trigger to continuously pull Illusionist's Stratagem right back out of your graveyard. By also packing away your mana-producing permanents during the process, you ensure every iteration generates the resources needed to recast the spell, eventually drawing your entire deck in the bargain.
