How it works
Cast Illusionist's Stratagem by paying its mana cost, blinking Abdel Adrian.
Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, returning Izzet Chronarch and all other cards that were exiled with it to the battlefield.
Abdel Adrian and Izzet Chronarch trigger.
Resolve the Izzet Chronarch trigger, returning Illusionist's Stratagem from your graveyard to your hand.
Holding priority, activate any number of nonland permanents you control by tapping them, adding at least enough mana to cast Illusionist's Stratagem.
Resolve the Abdel Adrian trigger, exiling Izzet Chronarch and the mana-producing permanents until Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, and creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token for each permanent exiled this way.
Repeat.
This delightful loop is anchored by Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward, who acts as both the engine and the army by constantly swallowing and releasing your supporting cast. By casting Illusionist's Stratagem, you blink Abdel Adrian and another creature, triggering a cascade of enters-the-battlefield effects that cycle your resources. As Abdel Adrian re-enters, he exiles Izzet Chronarch alongside your mana-producing permanents, which in turn lets Izzet Chronarch fish Illusionist's Stratagem right back out of your graveyard. Between these flickers, you tap those same permanents for mana to recast the spell, turning every iteration into a self-sustaining cycle that buries your opponents under infinite soldier tokens and card draw.
