How it works

1. Cast Essence Flux by paying its mana cost, blinking Abdel Adrian.
2. Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, returning Izzet Chronarch and all other cards that were exiled with it to the battlefield.
3. Abdel Adrian and Izzet Chronarch trigger.
4. Resolve the Izzet Chronarch trigger, returning Essence Flux from your graveyard to your hand.
5. Holding priority, activate any number of nonland permanents you control by tapping them, adding at least enough mana to cast Essence Flux.
6. Resolve the Abdel Adrian trigger, exiling Izzet Chronarch and the mana-producing permanents until Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, and creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token for each permanent exiled this way.
7. Repeat.

This ingenious loop centers around Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward, who acts as our temporary exile engine by swallowing up other permanents and leaving a trail of 1/1 Soldier tokens in his wake. To keep the cycle spinning, we rely on Essence Flux to blink Abdel Adrian, freeing everything trapped beneath him—including Izzet Chronarch, whose entry trigger handily plucks Essence Flux right back out of the graveyard and into your hand. Meanwhile, any mana-producing permanents caught in Abdel Adrian's periodic exiles can be tapped for mana before they vanish, fueling the next casting of Essence Flux to repeat the entire process indefinitely.
