How it works

1. Cast Illusionist's Stratagem by paying its mana cost, blinking Abdel Adrian.
2. Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, returning Donnie & April and all other cards that were exiled with it to the battlefield.
3. Abdel Adrian and Donnie & April trigger.
4. Resolve the Donnie & April trigger, returning Illusionist's Stratagem from your graveyard to your hand.
5. Holding priority, activate any number of nonland permanents you control by tapping them, adding at least enough mana to cast Illusionist's Stratagem.
6. Resolve the Abdel Adrian trigger, exiling Donnie & April and the mana-producing permanents until Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, and creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token for each permanent exiled this way.
7. Repeat.

This clever loop turns a simple blink spell into a recursive engine by leveraging Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward to repeatedly cycle your board away and back. When Illusionist's Stratagem targets Abdel Adrian, his entry and exit triggers swallow up your mana-producing permanents and Donnie & April, Adorkable Duo, flooding the board with Soldier tokens in the process. Each time Donnie & April re-enter, their modal ability reaches into the graveyard to pull Illusionist's Stratagem right back to your hand, ready to be recast. By tapping your other permanents for mana before Abdel scoops them up, you sustain the spell's cost indefinitely while cycling through your deck for a win.
