How it works

1. Cast Flicker by paying its mana cost, blinking Abdel Adrian.
2. Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, returning Donnie & April and all other cards that were exiled with it to the battlefield.
3. Abdel Adrian and Donnie & April trigger.
4. Resolve the Donnie & April trigger, returning Flicker from your graveyard to your hand.
5. Holding priority, activate any number of nonland permanents you control by tapping them, adding at least enough mana to cast Flicker.
6. Resolve the Abdel Adrian trigger, exiling Donnie & April and the mana-producing permanents until Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, and creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token for each permanent exiled this way.
7. Repeat.

This clever loop centers on Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward, whose entrance triggers the mass exile of your other nonland permanents to flood the board with Soldier tokens, while simultaneously priming your mana sources for reuse. By using Flicker to repeatedly exile and return Abdel Adrian, you trigger Donnie & April, Adorkable Duo just in time to pluck Flicker right back out of your graveyard and into your hand. Between each blink, your tapped mana-producing permanents are fresh off their exile-and-return cycle, letting you tap them anew to fund the next cast of Flicker and keep the engine spinning indefinitely.
