How it works

1. Cast Cloudshift by paying its mana cost, blinking Abdel Adrian.
2. Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, returning Timeless Witness and all other cards that were exiled with it to the battlefield.
3. Abdel Adrian and Timeless Witness trigger.
4. Resolve the Timeless Witness trigger, returning Cloudshift from your graveyard to your hand.
5. Holding priority, activate any number of nonland permanents you control by tapping them, adding at least enough mana to cast Cloudshift.
6. Resolve the Abdel Adrian trigger, exiling Timeless Witness and the mana-producing permanents until Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, and creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token for each permanent exiled this way.
7. Repeat.

This ingenious loop turns Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward into a relentless blink engine by leveraging Cloudshift to constantly reset his entry trigger. Each time Abdel Adrian re-enters, he swallows up your mana-producing permanents along with Timeless Witness, which dutifully plucks Cloudshift right back out of your graveyard and into your hand. Between each blink, those same swallowed permanents are temporarily freed to tap for the mana you need to recast Cloudshift, ultimately flooding the board with an endless army of Soldier tokens.
