How it works

1. Cast Cloudshift by paying its mana cost, blinking Abdel Adrian.
2. Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, returning Pinnacle Monk and all other cards that were exiled with it to the battlefield.
3. Abdel Adrian and Pinnacle Monk trigger.
4. Resolve the Pinnacle Monk trigger, returning Cloudshift from your graveyard to your hand.
5. Holding priority, activate any number of nonland permanents you control by tapping them, adding at least enough mana to cast Cloudshift.
6. Resolve the Abdel Adrian trigger, exiling Pinnacle Monk and the mana-producing permanents until Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, and creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token for each permanent exiled this way.
7. Repeat.

This ingenious loop turns Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward into an infinite army and mana engine by weaponizing his exile-and-return trigger. Every time Abdel Adrian blinks—initially kickstarted by casting Cloudshift—he temporarily swallows up your mana-producing permanents and Pinnacle Monk, generating an expanding sea of 1/1 Soldier tokens. When Pinnacle Monk re-enters the battlefield, its triggered ability plucks Cloudshift right back out of your graveyard, setting you up to cast the instant again and repeat the cycle indefinitely.
