How it works

1. Cast Planar Incision by paying its mana cost, blinking Abdel Adrian.
2. Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, returning Returned Pastcaller and all other cards that were exiled with it to the battlefield.
3. Abdel Adrian and Returned Pastcaller trigger.
4. Resolve the Returned Pastcaller trigger, returning Planar Incision from your graveyard to your hand.
5. Holding priority, activate any number of nonland permanents you control by tapping them, adding at least enough mana to cast Planar Incision.
6. Resolve the Abdel Adrian trigger, exiling Returned Pastcaller and the mana-producing permanents until Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, and creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token for each permanent exiled this way.
7. Repeat.

This ingenious loop turns Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward into an engine that endlessly recycles its own entry triggers by utilizing Planar Incision as the catalyst. Every time Abdel Adrian returns to the battlefield, Returned Pastcaller tags along to retrieve Planar Incision from your graveyard right back to your hand, ready to restart the cycle. By letting Abdel Adrian's exile ability swallow up your own mana-producing permanents alongside Returned Pastcaller, you can tap them for mana before they vanish to pay for each subsequent casting of Planar Incision.
