How it works

1. Cast Planar Incision by paying its mana cost, blinking Abdel Adrian.
2. Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, returning Ardent Elementalist and all other cards that were exiled with it to the battlefield.
3. Abdel Adrian and Ardent Elementalist trigger.
4. Resolve the Ardent Elementalist trigger, returning Planar Incision from your graveyard to your hand.
5. Holding priority, activate any number of nonland permanents you control by tapping them, adding at least enough mana to cast Planar Incision.
6. Resolve the Abdel Adrian trigger, exiling Ardent Elementalist and the mana-producing permanents until Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, and creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token for each permanent exiled this way.
7. Repeat.

This clever loop lets Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward continuously cycle in and out of exile to flood the board with an endless army of Soldier tokens. The engine is fueled by Planar Incision doing the heavy lifting of blinking your commander, while Ardent Elementalist acts as your recursive engine by constantly fishing the spell right back out of your graveyard. Because Abdel Adrian's enter-the-battlefield ability can also swallow your mana-producing permanents along the way, you can float all the mana you need between triggers to recast Planar Incision indefinitely.
