How it works

1. Cast Planar Incision by paying its mana cost, blinking Abdel Adrian.
2. Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, returning Scholar of the Ages and all other cards that were exiled with it to the battlefield.
3. Abdel Adrian and Scholar of the Ages trigger.
4. Resolve the Scholar of the Ages trigger, returning Planar Incision from your graveyard to your hand.
5. Holding priority, activate any number of nonland permanents you control by tapping them, adding at least enough mana to cast Planar Incision.
6. Resolve the Abdel Adrian trigger, exiling Scholar of the Ages and the mana-producing permanents until Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, and creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token for each permanent exiled this way.
7. Repeat.

This recursive loop turns Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward into an infinite engine of creation and recovery by constantly resetting his entry trigger. Each cycle starts when Planar Incision blinks Abdel Adrian, which in turn forces Scholar of the Ages back onto the battlefield to pluck that very same Planar Incision right back out of your graveyard. Meanwhile, Abdel Adrian's own enter-the-battlefield ability safely scoops up your mana-producing permanents along with Scholar of the Ages, spitting them back out to generate fresh mana and an endless army of Soldier tokens with every iteration.
