How it works

1. Cast Ghostly Flicker by paying its mana cost, blinking Abdel Adrian.
2. Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, returning Scholar of the Ages and all other cards that were exiled with it to the battlefield.
3. Abdel Adrian and Scholar of the Ages trigger.
4. Resolve the Scholar of the Ages trigger, returning Ghostly Flicker from your graveyard to your hand.
5. Holding priority, activate any number of nonland permanents you control by tapping them, adding at least enough mana to cast Ghostly Flicker.
6. Resolve the Abdel Adrian trigger, exiling Scholar of the Ages and the mana-producing permanents until Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, and creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token for each permanent exiled this way.
7. Repeat.

This clever loop turns the blink engine of Ghostly Flicker into an infinite manufacturing plant by constantly resetting Abdel Adrian's enter-the-battlefield ability. When Abdel Adrian enters, he swallows up Scholar of the Ages alongside any mana-producing nonland permanents you need to fuel the chain. Every flicker lets Scholar of the Ages scoop Ghostly Flicker right back out of your graveyard, ensuring you have infinite ammunition to keep the cycle spinning while generating an endless army of Soldier tokens.
