How it works

1. Cast Slip On the Ring by paying its mana cost, blinking Abdel Adrian.
2. Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, returning Scholar of the Ages and all other cards that were exiled with it to the battlefield.
3. Abdel Adrian and Scholar of the Ages trigger.
4. Resolve the Scholar of the Ages trigger, returning Slip On the Ring from your graveyard to your hand.
5. Holding priority, activate any number of nonland permanents you control by tapping them, adding at least enough mana to cast Slip On the Ring.
6. Resolve the Abdel Adrian trigger, exiling Scholar of the Ages and the mana-producing permanents until Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, and creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token for each permanent exiled this way.
7. Repeat.

This clever loop turns Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward into an infinite blink engine by using his own exile-and-return trigger to perpetually reset your board. When you cast Slip On the Ring to temporarily exile and return Abdel, his re-entry triggers his ability to swallow up Scholar of the Ages along with any mana-producing nonland permanents you control. As Scholar of the Ages hits the battlefield, its enters-the-battlefield ability brings Slip On the Ring right back from your graveyard to your hand, ready to be recast to restart the cycle. The beauty of this arrangement is that Abdel's leaves-the-battlefield trigger conveniently drops everything back onto the battlefield just in time for you to tap your mana sources, recast the spell, and flood the board with an endless army of Soldier tokens while looping all your instant and sorceries indefinitely.
