How it works

1. Cast Illusionist's Stratagem by paying its mana cost, blinking Abdel Adrian.
2. Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, returning Scholar of the Ages and all other cards that were exiled with it to the battlefield.
3. Abdel Adrian and Scholar of the Ages trigger.
4. Resolve the Scholar of the Ages trigger, returning Illusionist's Stratagem from your graveyard to your hand.
5. Holding priority, activate any number of nonland permanents you control by tapping them, adding at least enough mana to cast Illusionist's Stratagem.
6. Resolve the Abdel Adrian trigger, exiling Scholar of the Ages and the mana-producing permanents until Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, and creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token for each permanent exiled this way.
7. Repeat.

This clever loop gets its engine running when Illusionist's Stratagem blinks Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward, triggering a cascading cycle of exiling and returning your board. Each time Abdel Adrian re-enters, he swallows up Scholar of the Ages alongside your mana-producing permanents, which in turn triggers Scholar of the Ages to fish Illusionist's Stratagem right back out of your graveyard. As you repeat this blink dance, you will continuously tap those swallowed permanents for mana before they get exiled, fueling the next cast while generating an army of 1/1 Soldier creature tokens and drawing your entire deck.
