How it works

1. Cast Flicker by paying its mana cost, blinking Abdel Adrian.
2. Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, returning Scholar of the Ages and all other cards that were exiled with it to the battlefield.
3. Abdel Adrian and Scholar of the Ages trigger.
4. Resolve the Scholar of the Ages trigger, returning Flicker from your graveyard to your hand.
5. Holding priority, activate any number of nonland permanents you control by tapping them, adding at least enough mana to cast Flicker.
6. Resolve the Abdel Adrian trigger, exiling Scholar of the Ages and the mana-producing permanents until Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, and creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token for each permanent exiled this way.
7. Repeat.

This clever loop relies on Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward to continuously swallow and re-release your board, starting with the help of a well-timed Flicker. Each time Abdel Adrian re-enters the battlefield, it exiles Scholar of the Ages alongside your mana-producing permanents, which in turn triggers Scholar of the Ages to return Flicker right back to your hand from the graveyard. Because Abdel Adrian's exile ability also floods the board with 1/1 Soldier creature tokens while recycling your spells, you can easily generate infinite storm count, magecraft triggers, and an endless army.
