How it works

1. Cast Flicker of Fate by paying its mana cost, blinking Abdel Adrian.
2. Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, returning Scholar of the Ages and all other cards that were exiled with it to the battlefield.
3. Abdel Adrian and Scholar of the Ages trigger.
4. Resolve the Scholar of the Ages trigger, returning Flicker of Fate from your graveyard to your hand.
5. Holding priority, activate any number of nonland permanents you control by tapping them, adding at least enough mana to cast Flicker of Fate.
6. Resolve the Abdel Adrian trigger, exiling Scholar of the Ages and the mana-producing permanents until Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, and creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token for each permanent exiled this way.
7. Repeat.

This clever loop turns Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward into an infinite blink engine by using Flicker of Fate to continuously reset his enter-the-battlefield trigger alongside other permanents. Each time Abdel Adrian re-enters, he exiles Scholar of the Ages and whatever mana-producers you have tapped for floating mana, while Scholar of the Ages uses its own entry trigger to retrieve Flicker of Fate right back to your hand. As an added bonus, Abdel Adrian floods the board by leaving behind an army of 1/1 Soldier tokens with every single iteration.
